Cronate ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Cronate platform - a unified customer communication service for email campaigns, WhatsApp messaging, website chat, and related automation tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, or use our services.
1. Information we collect
Account & workspace data. When you register, we collect your name, email address, password (stored hashed), workspace details, and team membership information.
Customer data you upload. You may store contact records, message content, campaign data, templates, and other business information in your workspace. You control this data; we process it on your behalf to provide the service.
Communications data. When you send email, WhatsApp, or chat messages through Cronate, we process message metadata and content as needed to deliver, track, and support those channels.
Waitlist & marketing. If you join our waitlist or request product updates, we collect your email address and the form you used (e.g. waitlist or notify-me).
Usage & technical data. We automatically collect log data such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and product usage events to operate, secure, and improve the platform.
2. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Cronate platform
- Authenticate users and manage workspaces
- Send transactional emails (e.g. account notices, security alerts)
- Deliver messages on your behalf through connected channels
- Respond to support requests and communicate about the product
- Send waitlist and product-update emails where you have opted in
- Monitor for abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Legal bases (where applicable)
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the service), legitimate interests (security, product improvement, and B2B communications), consent (waitlist/marketing where required), and legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service providers - hosting, email delivery, WhatsApp/Meta APIs, analytics, and payment processors, under contractual safeguards
- Your integrations - third-party services you connect to your workspace
- Legal & safety - when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the platform
- Business transfers - in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice where required
5. Data retention
We retain account and workspace data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account subject to legal and operational retention requirements (e.g. billing records, abuse prevention). Waitlist entries are retained until you unsubscribe or we remove them.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
8. Your rights
